Access Control Security Systems
Controlling access Security Systems uses a panel as the main processor for its operation. On a whole they are extremely reliable in their functions and hard to mess with, if not impossible to fool. Information is sent to the Security Control system when a person tries to access a particular location (room) when the desired item is presented (A Key Card or a code) on one end of the access control panel, the information on the Key Card or code information shall be taken by the Security System and sent to the control panel where it is tested against the appropriate stored data that will allow access to the room.
The control panel has a list, the list contains all details of the credentials that are accepted to access and any information not included on that list will be denied access be allowed. It sends a transaction log for the credentials that were scanned with the database where it is stored, this is the point where the light is either green or red, and access is granted or denied. If access is denied then the door will remain closed and there will usually be a period when you can not try to re-scan a code or references until it reset itself. However, a relay is sent to unlock the door of the control panel or access is granted, the door closes behind the person, it will reset and a code will be required to reopen.
LEDs on the system will usually give you an indication of when access is granted, green means you have permission to enter, red means you should not, the LED is often followed by a sound. A buzz of different tones is used to saying yes or no.
